Miranda Xafa

Miranda Xafa began her career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., in 1980 and later held senior roles in government and the financial sector. She directed the Prime Minister’s Economic Office from 1991 to 1993 in Greece and later worked as a financial markets analyst at Salomon Brothers/Citigroup in London. A former Executive Board Member of the IMF (2004-2009), she is currently a Senior Scholar at the Centre for International Governance Innovation.

Dr. Xafa holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught economics at the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton. She has published numerous articles on international economics and financial issues.
